Sabbath by Wayne Muller I personally had to let go of the title, but this is the book I read every time I check into Hippocrates for my cleanse. It is a powerful book about learning how to take more time for yourself and ‘slow down’ in life.
The Architecture of All Abundance by Lenedra Carroll This is the person who has helped me get through some of the most difficult periods in my life. She was the ‘voice of reason’ and always answered with ‘higher consciousness’ to all my questions. The person in my life who gave me the strength and power to be by myself without ever being alone. She passed along to me the gift of life and self worth. Thank you Nedra, I love you.

Such a confusing subect. So many different idea's and "programmed feelings" surronding LOVE. What the TV and Magazines tell us, what our religion tells us, what are teachers tell us, what we see in our own parents and friends and, of course, what we FEEL in our hearts that LOVE is. Those are the several different kinds of LOVE. Now let's try to define a few of them....
True LOVE (false love): This is the LOVE we can't LIVE without. This love is seen all over the place. On TV, in the magazines, in movies, etc... (fairy tale kind) This love is the one we are told that we need and it is "love at first sight" kind. Not really sure what the word "TRUE" has to do with love, but this particular kind of love is the one we fall for and get hurt by the most. The love we think exists in the world today. However, this is the LOVE that is the hardest to understand. This kind of LOVE is really inside all of us and we are told that it takes another person to "complete" us. That is the big mistake. When we use LOVE to make us whole, we will never be complete and we will always be longing for that other person to come into our life. This is "Conditional" LOVE. We want people to be a certian way in order for us to LOVE them. That is the FALSE LOVE we are sucked into everyday.
Easy LOVE: This is the love that most of us buy into. This is the SEX and physical LOVE. When someone smells good. When the sex is soooooooooo good we can't see anything else. Also known as "blind" love. This also turns into the "love / hate" kind of love. When the other person doesn't want us, we get angry and can't just be friends. I think, this is the most popular kind of love.
UnConditional LOVE: This is the LOVE that is the hardest to find and understand. I would have to say that when we are complete and whole within ourselves, this love will happen. When the person in our life is there for us, always. Supporting our choices, holding us when we cry, listening to us when we are upset, laughing with us while watching a movie, not having to be right all the time, rather taking the time to understand our side as we try to understand their side. The best way to define this love is the way we love our pets. With no judgements on how they live their lives. Being able to be with someone and not "wanting" them to change anything about them. We accept them for their food choice, or drinking, or smoking, or being gay, etc... When we can understand that a friendship is more important than anything in the world. Being with another person in silence. This is the LOVE that we need to have for ourselves, first.
“This is the beginning of a new day. I shall not waste it, instead use it for good. What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever. Leaving in it’s place something I have traded for it. I want it to be good, not evil, happy, not sad, success, not failure, in order I shall not regret the price I paid for today.”
